Rep. Frank faces a tough re-election battle

Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., one of the architects of the financial regulatory overhaul law, is facing a difficult re-election challenge from Republican Sean Bielat, formerly a U.S. Marine. Opinion polls indicate Frank maintains a narrow lead over Bielat, a political unknown. Frank ran unopposed in 2006 and garnered 68% of the vote in 2008 to keep his seat.
