The best hires often have flawed résumés

Recruiters should be willing to forgive minor résumé holes and instead focus on whether a candidate excels in key skills, Anne Fisher writes. One of Facebook's most prized hires, Evan Priestley, is a college dropout who was recruited while still a low-level Web designer. "If hiring managers had considered only Priestley's lackluster resume, he'd never have gotten a foot in the door," Fisher writes.
