Drinking cold water may help burn calories, study suggests

Overweight children who drank cold water while watching a movie in a lying-down position appeared to have improvements in resting energy expenditure, according to a study in the International Journal of Obesity. Researchers said drinking cold water may help activate underhydrated muscles, which may help burn more calories.
