Fad diets are not long-term solutions, nutritionist says

Fad or quick-fix diets can lead to weight loss, but people usually cannot follow them long term so it is better to focus on healthy choices, says certified physical trainer and nutritionist Michael Ferencsik of Naples, Fla. He says it can take longer to reach an ideal weight by making lifestyle changes, such as eating smaller meals and exercising more, but the method has much more staying power.
