New Soul of the South Network is aimed at African-American viewers

Soul of the South Network, a digital multicast network for African-Americans, plans to launch by March in Atlanta, Memphis, Orlando, Fla., and some 50 other markets. Programming will include five hours of news every day, as well as entertainment, sports and cultural offerings. Besides its Southern anchor-cities, Soul of the South also will be shown in cities with large black populations such as Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia.
