School's hoop house to enhance student meals, education

An inexpensive version of a greenhouse called a hoop house has been built at Platte River Elementary School in Michigan as a teaching tool and to grow produce for student lunches. Food-service manager Renee DeWindt says the school district already works with farmers and many student meals are made with locally grown ingredients.
