Should K-12 schools, colleges collaborate on common core?

As K-12 schools nationwide begin to implement the Common Core State Standards, there has not been enough focus on linking those lessons with collegiate academic standards, according to some education advocates. The authors of this article argue that aligning standards in college and lower grades will help improve students' readiness for college, raise expectations and make students more competitive globally.
