Report: How to ensure the common core is successful

In a report released Thursday, ASCD is recommending seven steps that need to be taken to ensure the Common Core State Standards are implemented successfully. Among them are to give educators more input in their own professional development, transform principals into instructional leaders, properly vet instructional materials and adopt technology that assists with teaching and learning.
