Agilent: LTE-Advanced will be based on carrier aggregation

Future 4G wireless networks will depend on a technique called carrier aggregation -- in which equal amounts of multiple radio carriers will replace a single large swatch of spectrum -- to achieve download speeds many times faster than today's Long-Term Evolution networks, according to an Agilent engineer.
