CBRE: Hotel transactions volume in Canada reached $893 million in Q3

Canada's hotel transactions volume is at its highest since the fourth quarter of 2007, with about $893 million in hotel sales made during the third quarter, CBRE Hotels reports. The figure was boosted by Starwood Capital Group's $765 million purchase of five Westin properties. The average room price during the quarter reached $130,000, up 20% from last year.
