Duncan: Rural students need more access to technology, college

Only about a third of students in rural areas are likely to enroll in college and that limits economic development and job creation, said U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan. Speaking to educators in Ohio on Thursday, Duncan said students in rural communities need better access to a college education and to high-speed Internet services, which can increase students' access to challenging courses and educational resources online.
