Childhood memories of home-cooked meals were top of mind for Anthony Ackil and Jon Olinto when the pair founded the first b.good restaurant in 2004. The partners grew to 12 units in the Boston area while perfecting a system that features local, seasonal ingredients in made-from-scratch dishes, and last year b.good sold its first franchises. "We have tried to perfect everything, from the way we cut tomatoes and source beef to how we hire people," Ackil said.
