Travel agents in Ireland raised their concerns about the International Air Transport Association's proposed New Distribution Capability during a session at the IATA World Passenger Symposium in Dublin. Paul Tilstone, managing director of GBTA Europe, said the issue of trust remained to be resolved. "There are concerns about the business model, about bypassing existing processes," Tilstone said. Other issues raised include the program's complexity, the need for dialog on self-booking tools and the possibility of airlines distributing "personalized" offers that fall outside corporate travel policies.
