Senate VA committee chairman urges expanded dental care for veterans

Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is circulating draft legislation that would help veterans access dental care for non-service-related problems. "Our nation's veterans should not be forced to rely on expensive private insurance ... for their oral health needs," Sanders said Wednesday at a hearing. Sanders' legislation would create a three-year pilot program establishing dental care at a minimum of 16 VA facilities.
