E.W. Jackson, the Republican nominee seeking to become lieutenant governor of Virginia in next week's election, is shown in a video making anti-LGBT remarks at the 2011 summit of The Family Foundation of Virginia. Jackson, who in the past has compared homosexuality to pedophilia, spoke out at the summit against military chaplains performing same-sex weddings. "How in the world can we expect our military to be blessed by the hand of Almighty God if we allow our military to become the equivalent of Sodom and Gomorrah?" he said. According to poll results released last month, the majority of Virginians oppose the state's marriage equality ban.
