Maverick Enterprises has developed a "pebbling" feature to add texture to bottles for a tactile advantage while its scalloped wine capsule removes the need for any neck labels. Other improvements mentioned in this Wines & Vines survey include caps that allow for improved oxygen-regulation and packaging that better protects wine in transit.
