Collisions between deer, motorists rise in Texas

Collisions between motorists and deer are occurring more frequently on Texas roadways. Texas has been the most hazardous state for vehicle-animal crashes every year since 2000, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Comprehensive auto insurance policies will cover damages for drivers whose vehicle strikes an animal, says a spokesman for the Insurance Council of Texas.
