NYC skateboarding class aims to get more students hooked on fitness

A New York City high school has added a skateboarding class for gym credit in the hopes of encouraging fitness and engaging students who may not enjoy more traditional sports. "I think it's important to have a wide range of electives," said Lori Rose Benson, the city education department's director of fitness and health education.
