Holiday travelers should brace themselves for new pat-downs

Travelers who plan to board a commercial flight this holiday season should prepare themselves for more intense security pat-downs. TSA agents now use their fingers and palms around sensitive body parts as part of the new technique; they previously used the backs of their hands. Passengers who refuse to pass through full-body scanners will be required to have pat-downs.
