In Poland, a new way to seal natural stone and concrete

Researchers from the Institute of Mechanized Construction and Rock Mining in Warsaw, Poland, invented a sealer that penetrates natural stone. The sealant, made of amorphous silicon dioxide, is derived from chalcedony-aggregate manufacturing waste. It seals the stone to prevent against freezing and chemical factors -- and can be used on concrete as well.
