Compound prevents type 1 diabetes in mice

A study in The Journal of Immunology found that the compound glyphosine helped enhance insulin presentation and inhibited the development of type 1 diabetes in mice. The compound appeared to have similar effects on human cells and may play a role in the fight against type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune disorders, researchers said.
