Pact restores 200 jobs in L.A. schools

More than 200 non-teaching employees will be returned to their jobs at Los Angeles-area schools because of an agreement announced Tuesday between the school district and the workers' union. The pact will enable all district middle schools to again have at least one six-hour library aide, as well as a full-time financial manager. "This agreement returns vital staff to many of our campuses," superintendent John Deasy said.
