In-Stat: 802.11ac to proliferate quickly; 802.11n will still dominate

In-Stat predicts that shipments of client devices, modems and routers incorporating the new 802.11ac wireless standard will grow from about 1 million units next year to almost 350 million units in 2015 as users quickly embrace the faster Wi-Fi technology. Despite that meteoric growth, sales of 802.11n equipment will reach 1.5 billion units in 2015, according to the market research firm.
