Calif. congressman opposes plan to retire C-23 fleet

Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., is urging the Army not to retire its fleet of C-23 Sherpa cargo planes until a replacement is in place. The plan to retire the Army National Guard fleet poses a "risk to our national security and states ability to respond to natural disasters, border security and other emergency operations," Hunter writes in a letter to be sent to Army Secretary John McHugh next week.
