Competition pushes Calif. districts to add IB programs

As school districts compete to keep the highest-performing students in Sacramento and Placer counties in California, there has been an increase in International Baccalaureate programs in the region. IB's challenging curriculum and track record of sending students to top colleges have led parents to seek out the program in neighboring districts or pressure school boards to add IB programs closer to home.
