Districts weigh issue of access when distributing iPads

As schools in California and elsewhere distribute iPads and other digital devices to students, educators are faced with the question of how much access students should have to online material. While some sites are blocked through Web-filtering software, the Coachella Valley Unified School District in California is blocking some sites deemed to be harmful to students, but allowing them to access social media websites.
