E-tail heats up for holiday season

The National Retail Federation predicts holiday sales will rise 5.7% this year, and Forrester forecasts online holiday sales will jump 42%. The synergy between online and offline sales is fueling much of this growth, with online driving offline purchases at stores. Even pure-plays, such as Amazon.com, find that partnerships with offline stores contribute to growing profits.
