$18.4M goes to repairs, construction at Miss. airport

The east runway at Jackson-Evers International Airport in Jackson, Miss., will be usable once it is repaired. A $14.2 million project will replace concrete that has been lifted from the ground by rainwater seepage and strengthen clay below the runway. Another $4.2 million will be used to replace three jet bridges and build two new ones.
