Fewer fatty acids have no effect on insulin sensitivity

Insulin sensitivity in obese patients with metabolic syndrome did not improve by reducing dietary saturated fatty acids, researchers said. The study found that other risk factors of metabolic syndrome, such as blood pressure, inflammation and cholesterol, also did not change after reducing saturated fatty acids.
