MGM Resorts reports a narrower third-quarter loss

MGM Resorts International, which owns 10 resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, has casino-resorts in Michigan and Mississippi and is involved in joint ventures in New Jersey and Macau, saw its share price rise 5.5% after reporting a narrower quarterly loss. Jim Murren, chairman and CEO at MGM Resorts, offered an optimistic outlook. "We continue to see the Las Vegas market stabilizing, Aria's operating performance is ramping up and MGM Macau reported a record quarter," Murren said.
