Puppy-mill bill passes in Missouri

A ballot measure designed to set restrictions on dog breeders in Missouri passed Tuesday after garnering 51% of votes, and will take effect in November next year. The bill, known as Puppy Mill Cruelty Prevention Act, seeks to limit the number of breeding dogs allowed per facility, increase requirements for veterinary care and expand space requirements for dog enclosures.
