3 steps for managing social media use

Companies that block social media sites at work are taking a misguided and futile approach, writes Adrian Gonzalez of Logistics Viewpoints. "If employees see opportunities to use social media sites/tools to help them save time and execute better, they will find a way to use them for business purposes," he writes. Instead, companies should survey employees and take suggestions for how social media can improve business processes. Companies should also create policies about the use of such sites, he writes.
