AHRQ funds projects to reduce HAIs

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has provided $34 million in funding to support projects focused on reducing health care-associated infections including central line-associated bloodstream infections and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections. This investment will "give doctors and health care teams the help they need to ensure that patients are safe from infections," AHRQ Director Carolyn Clancy said.
