Ballot proposal in Maine town seeks to tighten rules on wind projects

Residents of Brooksville, Maine, are scheduled to vote Tuesday on a proposal that would prohibit wind turbines taller than 100 feet from being installed within the town. The ballot proposal also seeks to cap the size of wind projects to 50 kilowatts and sets a 35-decibel limit on wind turbine sounds for any continuous, five-minute period.
