BNSF's $500M SCIG project to ease unemployment through 1,500 jobs

Construction of BNSF's $500 million Southern California International Gateway will take three years and provide 1,500 union jobs with compensation worth about $255 million. The state currently lags in terms of job growth, and the Class I news will ease unemployment figures, according to the state Economic Development Department.
