Eastman unit acquires developer of bio-based butanol

Eastman Renewable Materials has acquired the assets of TetraVitae Bioscience, a developer of bio-based butanol. TetraVitae announced last December that it was testing its bio-based n-butanol technology at a dry-mill ethanol plant operated by the National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center in Illinois, according to blogger Doris de Guzman.
