Lenovo beats out Dell in PC shipments

Lenovo unseated Dell to become the world's second-largest computer company during the third quarter, thanks partly to increased demand from corporate clients and a push into emerging markets such as its home country of China. Lenovo reported profits of $143.9 million in its fiscal second quarter, which ended Sept. 30, an increase of 88% and well above analyst estimates.
