Unlikely new owners save a piece of Brooklyn's culinary history

Fans of Coney Island Bialys and Bagels in Brooklyn, N.Y., were ready to mourn when the owner of the 91-year-old store announced plans to close, until a pair of Pakistani Muslims from the neighborhood stepped in to take over the long-time Jewish culinary institution. "It’s a Brooklyn story of how the world can someday be at peace,” said borough president Marty Markowitz.
