ConocoPhillips nears sale of Kazakh field shares for $5.4B

ConocoPhillips is nearing an agreement for the $5.4 billion sale of its shares in the Kashagan development project in Kazakhstan to KazMunaiGas. India's ONGC Videsh in 2012 agreed to buy Conoco's shares in the field for $5 billion, but Kazakh regulators blocked the sale.
