Delta, JetBlue embrace mobile use on flights from gate to gate

Delta and JetBlue have submitted plans to the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to allow in-flight mobile device use from gate to gate after regulators relaxed usage rules. IHS predicts that 21% of the global fleet will provide connectivity to passengers by the end of the year. "The great challenge for airlines now is to inform passengers of the services they offer and to get them to pay for access," IHS senior analyst Heath Lockett said.
