Fla. district recruits Spanish teachers for dual language program

Fifteen teachers from Spain joined the Palm Beach County School District in Florida this year in an effort to enhance dual language learning opportunities for students. Schools participating in the Visiting Teachers Program offer instruction in English half of the day and in Spanish the rest of the day. The program also helps keep English speakers and English language learners in the same classroom. "They're learning from each other," program planner Sandra Medrano-Arroyo said.
