Lawmakers urge House tax writers to make New Markets Tax Credit permanent

A bipartisan group of 70 lawmakers is petitioning the House of Representatives' top tax writers to permanently extend the New Markets Tax Credit as they work on comprehensive tax reform. The NMTC is part of a group of temporary tax breaks called extenders that get re-enacted for another year at year-end. The NMTC has broad support in Congress.
