N.C. schools strengthen emphasis on career education

High schools and colleges in North Carolina increasingly are launching programs that seek to connect education with careers. In some cases, this means more schools are seeking partnerships with local business in order to offer real-world job training. For example, Duke Regional Hospital and industry councils around the state provide opportunities for students in science, technology, engineering and math fields.
