Starbucks redesigns the teacup

Starbucks' first Teavana tea shop in New York City has a different feel than the company's coffee shops, and it has introduced new cups tailored to tea. The cup is designed to mimic porcelain china, with double-walled insulation to eliminate the cardboard sleeves and a lid with a wider spout for easier sipping. "Even though today's life forces most of us to be on the go, drinking tea is a traditional ritual," said Daniele Monti, Starbucks' creative director for emerging brands.
