S. Korean pilot plan lets students, parents grade teachers

Despite the objections of teachers unions, South Korea will roll out a pilot program over the next nine months that will allow students and parents in 48 schools nationwide to evaluate teachers. The government says the results will be given to individual teachers only for self-assessment and will not be used for promotion or personnel management.
