New solar panel coating captures more sunlight

A new reflective coating allows solar panels to soak up 96.2% of the sun's rays. Current solar panels absorb only two-thirds of the rays. Developed by New York's Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the seven-layer coating captures more colors from the solar spectrum from all angles and increases efficiency by 30%.
