Seattle plan for green neighborhood approved after 4-year delay

A proposal to upzone the blighted Seattle neighborhood of Interbay was approved Monday by the Seattle City Council after four years of political wrangling and delays over affordable housing. The plan allows for residential, retail, office and mixed-use buildings up to 85 feet. The plan is one of the U.S. Green Building Council's green-neighborhood pilot projects.
