Few Americans "check in" on mobile sites so far

Just 4% of adults in the U.S. register their locations using mobile services such as Foursquare and Gowalla, the Pew Internet & American Life Project reports. The most likely users include young people, men and Hispanics, the study finds. The services also draw a slightly higher percentage of users from microblogging sites such as Twitter and social-networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
