Next warns price of clothing could surge on cotton costs

UK-based retailer Next is reiterating its warning that the soaring price of cotton could result in higher clothing prices. "The longevity of what appears to be a speculative bubble in cotton prices will be critical in determining prices for the second quarter," the retailer said. The increase could be as much as 10%, according to Next.
