Scientists enlist volunteers to assess oil spill's effects on birds

Volunteers are helping scientists with the National Audubon Society to monitor and gather data on any changes in numbers and health of migratory and resident birds along the Gulf of Mexico. Scientists hope to use the new data to determine the long-term effects of the oil spill on birds and other marine life.
